NEP to Host Online Learning Session on Local Advocacy Strategy

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen civil society’s role in education reform, the NGO Education Partnership (NEP) will host an online learning session on Local Advocacy Strategy on 19 June 2025. This 90-minute session, taking place from 10:00–11:30 AM, is part of NEP’s broader capacity-building initiative aimed at empowering its members and the wider public with practical tools and strategies for local engagement.

Since its formation in 2001, NEP has been instrumental in bringing together over 78 civil society organizations to amplify grassroots voices and influence national education policy. Local advocacy remains a vital component of this work—helping stakeholders address education challenges and promote equity at the community level.

The upcoming session will highlight real-life case studies and approaches from World Vision International and Save Vulnerable Cambodians, two organizations with proven experience in implementing successful local advocacy in Cambodia. Attendees will gain insight into working effectively with school management committees, local authorities, and communities.

Participants will also explore simple yet impactful advocacy tools and techniques to help shape their own strategies. The session encourages shared learning and peer discussion, fostering collaboration and problem-solving.

This initiative reflects NEP’s commitment to inclusive, evidence-based advocacy that drives meaningful change in education, particularly for marginalized learners.
