Help Us Plant 720 Trees by June 1st – Support a Greener School for Children!

What if your contribution today could help a child breathe cleaner air, learn under a cooler roof, and grow up in a school that teaches climate action by example?

NEP, in collaboration with Greenspot and five of its active member NGOs— TDSO, SAMAKY, CLS, MJC, BLCP, and ERCDO—is proud to launch a new climate-resilient education initiative that brings together environmental improvement and STEM education to prepare children for a better, greener future. The program aims to build resilience to climate change in Cambodian schools, starting with primary schools where young minds are shaped.

This campaign is part of the broader Greenspots project, which will be rolled out in 10 primary schools across multiple provinces. The journey begins in Kampot province, where we will transform one primary school in Bokor Municipality into a green, sustainable model school. As a first step, we plan to plant 720 trees on the school campus.

To make this happen, we need your help. We are raising $3,000 by June 1st, 2025, to establish a tiny forest—a living, learning environment that will not only provide shade and improve air quality but also serve as an outdoor classroom. This activity is scheduled to coincide with International Children’s Day, making the celebration even more meaningful.

This isn’t just about planting trees. It’s about embedding environmental values into Cambodia’s education system. It’s about giving teachers tools to integrate STEM and climate education into their lessons, and showing students that they can be part of the solution. It’s about community-driven action that demonstrates how education and environment go hand in hand.

By participating, you’re helping to build a school that breathes, cools, educates, and inspires. You’re investing in children, in teachers, and in the planet.
