Join the Asia Pacific Regional Dialogue for GAWE 2025: Education Saves Lives

On 6 May 2025, the Asia South Pacific Association for Basic and Adult Education (ASPBAE), in collaboration with the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) and the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE), will host a Virtual Asia Pacific Regional Dialogue as part of the 2025 Global Action Week for Education (GAWE). This important event will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM (Philippine Standard Time) and is open to civil society members, education stakeholders, and advocates across the region.

Carrying the powerful theme “Education Saves Lives: Protect Education in Emergencies,” the dialogue aims to shed light on the growing challenges faced by learners and education systems during crises and conflicts in the Asia Pacific region. As disasters, displacement, and conflict increasingly disrupt access to education, this event will explore sustainable policy and funding solutions that uphold the right to education even in the most challenging situations.

Participants will engage in thoughtful discussions to:

  • Deepen their understanding of Education in Emergencies (EiE) issues affecting the region;

  • Identify practical strategies to advocate for stronger policies and better funding for education in crisis settings;

  • Strengthen regional collaboration and civil society voices in promoting education as a life-saving and life-sustaining right.

This event is part of the global movement calling for governments, donors, and all education actors to prioritize education in emergency response plans.

Registration is now open via this link: Register Here.
