The Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program is now accepting applications from April 23 to May 22, 2025. This prestigious, fully funded opportunity invites emerging civil society leaders aged 21–27 to develop their leadership skills, gain global experience, and drive positive change in their communities.
Organized by IREX and funded by the U.S. government, the CEE Program offers a year-long professional development experience for young visionaries. Fellows will take part in a three-month hands-on practicum with U.S.-based civil society organizations, supported by supervisors and mentors. They will also participate in a Leadership and Civic Engagement Academy, and upon returning home, implement a Community Engagement Project (CEP) tailored to address a specific local need.
CEE Fellows join a global network of changemakers, strengthening cross-sector collaboration and mutual understanding between the U.S. and participating countries. Select fellows will also receive additional support through a CEP Exchange, where U.S. hosts travel to partner countries to co-implement the projects.
The program covers visa support, international travel, monthly living allowances, and health insurance.
Eligible applicants must be from one of the listed countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, and have at least two years of experience in civil society or community work. Proficiency in English and a strong commitment to returning home to implement a community project are required.
NEP encourages young Cambodian civil society leaders to apply. For full eligibility and application details, visit the official CEE Program website or contact apply.CEE@irex.org.
