BACKGROUND

The Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) and the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport (MoEYS) continue to advance efforts toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) – ensuring inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all. The Education 2030 Roadmap and other strategic plans emphasize lifelong learning, gender equality, and improved learning outcomes. Despite notable progress, challenges remain in ensuring equity, particularly for marginalized groups, children with disabilities, and those in rural areas.

The 6th National Conference builds on the outcomes of previous conferences. It focuses on deepening discussions and actions around Gender & Inclusion, Lifelong Learning, Learning Outcomes, and Safe Schools & Climate Resilience. This multi-stakeholder dialogue seeks to bring together policymakers, educators, civil society organizations, and development partners to strategize on how to make education in Cambodia more inclusive, sustainable, and impactful.
