The Pact for the Future has been adopted with the Global Digital Compact and Declaration on Future Generations as annexes.
While GCE continued lobbying for the education movement’s positions up until the start of the Summit, the Pact for the Future, as anticipated, contains only a narrow reference to education. GCE emphasizes the importance of ongoing advocacy to ensure that education is substantively included in the deliberations and implementation of the Pact at the country level. This advocacy is critical for achieving a better present and a sustainable future. Members and partners are encouraged to disseminate and utilize the GCE Statement for their engagements to further this cause.
Collective efforts are needed to keep education at the forefront of global development agendas as we work towards a more equitable and sustainable world.
