We are thrilled to announce that the 5th National Conference of the NGO Education Partnership (NEP) is set to take place on 19 and 20 September 2024.
Building on the success of our previous conference, this year’s event will focus on a Multi-stakeholders Policy Dialogue aimed at improving learning outcomes for boys and girls in rural primary education. With the support of our dedicated members and partners, we will bring together leaders from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MOEYS), sub-national education actors, civil society organizations, and development partners to engage in an enriching dialogue.
The conference will feature a variety of interactive sessions, including panel discussions, presentations, and open dialogue, providing a platform for stakeholders from local to national levels to share insights and strategies. Our discussions will center on key questions such as how to ensure all children’s diverse needs are met, the role of lifelong learning in enhancing student outcomes, and strategies to improve performance in reading, math, and science at the primary level. We will also explore ways to better support teachers and improve overall school performance, as well as how to empower parents to support their children’s education. This conference aims to foster a common understanding of the challenges and seek actionable solutions to advance education policy and achieve better learning outcomes for every child, particularly in rural areas.
