On the morning of September 12, 2023, the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Ratanakkiri Province organized the celebration of World Literacy Day at O’Yadao District Secondary School. The ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Director of the Department of Education and the Deputy Governor of O’Yadao District. The event aimed to celebrate the World Literacy Day and highlight the significance of literacy among all stakeholders. The celebration of International Literacy Day includes the UNESCO International Literacy Prizes award ceremony to announce this year’s outstanding prizewinning programs. The theme for this year’s Literacy Day was “Promoting literacy for a world in transition: Building the foundation for sustainable and peaceful societies.” The event was attended by Deputy Heads of Education Offices in all districts, representatives of NGOs, teachers, and local authorities
