Primary School Teacher Education Program Framework (12+4 System)

This program is designed to integrate the quality of bachelor-level education with general knowledge in the education system to ensure that, upon graduation, student teachers acquire full competencies, including academic knowledge, skills, and professional ethics, enabling them to perform effectively in the education sector in line with the National Qualifications Framework and professional teacher standards. This program will provide student teachers with:

• A clear understanding of teaching subjects, pedagogy, teaching methods, and diverse assessment practices responsive to the evolving social context.

• The ability to apply and share pedagogical knowledge, effective teaching methods, and assessment practices to enhance quality and effective active learning among students.

• Competence in technology, foreign languages, and life skills to support the planning and delivery of teaching and learning in response to 21st-century skills and digital education, connected to real-life contexts.

• Knowledge and skills in educational research to enhance knowledge, abilities, and experience for continuous professional development and to cultivate a culture of lifelong learning.

• Professional ethics, interpersonal communication, leadership skills, and global citizenship.

1. Expected Learning Outcomes

Ä Knowledge

• Identify students’ learning needs, abilities, learning history, family background, and other factors affecting their learning at the primary level.

• Describe subject content, teaching methods, and assessment practices that align with the primary school curriculum.

• Explain professional teacher standards, the curriculum, national education policy, national and international education goals, and relevant standards for primary education.

Ä Thinking Skills (Analytical Knowledge)

• Prepare effective lesson plans, teaching materials, and student assessment tools.

• Solve classroom challenges based on real situations or research findings.

• Analyze curricula, teaching methods, and student assessment practices with effectiveness and flexibility.

Ä Interpersonal Skills and Responsibility

• Build effective relationships with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and the community.

• Use a foreign language for both written and spoken communication.

• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-being-oriented learning environment.

• Teach with a sense of responsibility and care for students’ learning, meeting professional teaching standards.

Ä Communication, Technology, and Numeracy

• Use information and communication technology (ICT) and artificial intelligence to support professional teaching and learning.

• Analyze data, assessment results, action research findings, and educational statistics.

Psychomotor Skills

• Use appropriate and effective lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools.

• Manage classrooms effectively and flexibly according to students’ abilities.

• Present action research findings effectively.

2. Expected Career Path

Student teachers will become primary school teachers with academic knowledge, skills, ethics, and competence to practice the profession in line with professional teacher standards and to gain recognition from society.
