The National Action Plan on School Health 2021–2030 was developed to implement the National Policy on School Health. It focuses on priority actions for executing nine strategic areas with an emphasis on quality, equity, and inclusiveness across all levels of education—early childhood, primary, secondary, higher education, including technical and vocational education, and lifelong learning. This approach aligns with the digital age and aims to support economic growth and promote a harmonious balance between individual and societal well-being.
The Action Plan serves as a roadmap for implementing school health activities by integrating coherent policies, strategies, and financial resources with existing programs. It seeks to ensure accountability within relevant sectors and contribute to achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
Promoting school health is a key factor in ensuring quality education and improving graduation rates. Healthy students are more likely to engage actively in learning, have higher survival rates, and develop better cognitive abilities. Conversely, poor student health can significantly hinder educational outcomes.
