The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MoEYS) has established a Steering Committee to oversee the Career Guidance and Counseling Program Mechanism.
1. Steering Committee
Provides leadership, policy direction, and strategic guidance for developing the career guidance and counseling system.
Coordinates and resolves inter-institutional issues related to program development.
Mobilizes financial, technical, and human resources in cooperation with development partners.
Monitors, evaluates, and provides recommendations to the Technical Subcommittee and Secretariat.
Reviews and approves strategic plans and work mechanisms proposed by the Technical Subcommittee.
Members must attend meetings as called by the Chairperson.
2. Technical Subcommittee
Supports the Steering Committee by defining frameworks for human resource management and development.
Provides advice, conducts consultations with MoEYS departments and higher education institutions.
Initiates research, develops and revises legal and curriculum documents.
Prepares and improves policies, strategic plans, master plans, and implementation mechanisms.
Promotes and monitors the implementation of plans and legal documents.
Submits proposals and reports to the Steering Committee and performs assigned duties.
3. Secretariat
The Career Guidance Office under the Career Guidance Department serves as the Secretariat.
Handles administrative work, organizes meetings, and coordinates with relevant institutions and development partners.
Prepares reports on committee and subcommittee activities.
Performs other tasks assigned by the committees.
