Education Champion – Leaders Meeting 2026: “Tackling the Implementation Gap to Transform Education”
The Education NGO Partnership (NEP) successfully organized the Education Champion – Leaders Meeting 2026 under the theme “Tackling the Implementation Gap to Transform Education” on 3 June 2026 at Sunway Hotel Phnom Penh.
The meeting brought together representatives from all 25 Provincial Education Sector Working Groups (P-ESWGs), members of the six Thematic Working Groups (TWGs), Education Champion Youth, NEP members, and civil society organizations working in the education sector. The event served as a platform for collaboration, shared learning, and strengthening networks among education stakeholders across Cambodia.
Throughout the meeting, participants discussed key challenges facing the education sector and explored practical solutions to improve education outcomes. Sessions focused on important topics such as student dropout issues, gender-responsive pedagogy, school budgeting, education monitoring frameworks, teacher professional development, and lifelong learning policies.
Special attention was given to priority themes including education equity and quality, inclusion and gender responsiveness, education financing, and decentralization. Participants exchanged experiences, identified common challenges, and discussed ways to strengthen collective advocacy efforts to influence education policy and improve learning opportunities for all children.
The meeting also reinforced collaboration between provincial and national education networks, helping to build stronger communication channels and more effective coordination among civil society organizations working in education.
The Education Champion – Leaders Meeting 2026 demonstrated the shared commitment of education stakeholders to advancing quality, equitable, and inclusive education in Cambodia and ensuring that no child is left behind.
