NEP Hosts Learning Session on Gender Programming to Strengthen Inclusive Education Efforts

As part of its continued support to members and partners, the NGO Education Partnership (NEP) is organizing an online learning session on Gender Programming, taking place on July 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM via Zoom. This session is designed to enhance the capacity of NEP members in integrating gender-responsive approaches across their education and development programs.

The session will be led by Ms. Sinuon Hun, Technical Advisor for Advancing Women and Girls at CARE Cambodia, who brings extensive experience in gender equity and social inclusion. Through this session, participants will deepen their understanding of key gender-related concepts, including the difference between sex and gender, gender equality versus gender equity, and the role of intersectionality in shaping people’s experiences.

A key component of the learning session will involve guided reflection on participants’ own gender norms and how these influence their work. Ms. Sinuon will also introduce practical tools for gender analysis, such as the Social Analysis and Action (SAA) approach, and the Gender Marker Tool—an assessment framework designed to evaluate the gender responsiveness of programs and initiatives.

The session will conclude with an open Q&A segment, giving participants the chance to clarify concepts, share experiences, and explore how to apply what they’ve learned within their organizational contexts.

This learning session is part of NEP’s broader effort to promote inclusive and equitable education in Cambodia. By building members’ capacity in gender programming, NEP aims to support the development of programs that better meet the diverse needs of all learners, particularly girls and other marginalized groups.

NEP encourages all members to attend this important session and join in the collective effort to advance gender equality in education. Registration is now open via the QR code on the poster or through this link
