Research and Literacy Training

capacity development program is designed to introduce mid-career professionals to applied social research methods’ technical depth and professional breadth. This course will provide an overview of research methodologies and information literacy skills. Participants will be exposed to and tested on major concepts and practical activities, ranging from formulating research problems, objectives, and questions, conducting literature reviews, and gaining the techniques of gathering, presenting, and interpreting the data. By the end of the program, participants are expected not only to develop information literacy skills, enabling them to identify, evaluate, organize, and use information and design communication tools to disseminate the information in all media platforms but also to strengthen the capability to conduct small/large-scale research projects in situations where the acquisition of new knowledge is required for problem-solving and decision making within a scholarly manner aligned with the ethics of academic principle.
