Operational Guidelines for Remedial Teaching

To ensure that slow learners have an appropriate foundation for continuing their education in the next grade, the Ministry provides guidance to Departments of Education, District Offices, public primary schools, parents, guardians, students, and School Management Committees on remedial teaching as follows:

Student Competency Assessment
Purpose: To evaluate student ability in Khmer Language and Mathematics, and to help teachers assess accurately to identify specific lesson content where students are struggling.
Timing: Every month.
Target Students: All students from Grade 2 to Grade 6.
