Strategic Plan on Increasing Women Leaders at Sub-national Level

In collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Civil Service, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, and other stakeholders, a five-year strategic plan (2024-2028) aimed at increasing women’s representation in leadership roles within sub-national administrations has been developed. The Strategic Plan focuses on capacity building, resource allocation, and effective monitoring and evaluation to ensure its successful implementation.

Fully endorsed by key ministries, the strategy seeks to enhance public service delivery and local development, prioritizing the needs of women, children, and vulnerable groups. It emphasizes equality, fairness, and inclusivity, creating a supportive environment where women can thrive in leadership positions.

This initiative aims to not only address gender equality and social equity but also to empower women to reach their full potential, contributing to stronger and more inclusive sub-national administrations.
