The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has identified key achievement indicators for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the Pentagon-Phase strategy. As a result, the following was achieved. Key Performance Indictor:
1) The results of the International Student Assessment (PISA) are not evaluated as the International student assessment program is to be implemented in the second half of 2025 and 2029.
2) The overall enrollment rate at the lower secondary level was 75.2% above the target, and the overall rate at the upper secondary level was 44.3% below the target, but this is acceptable, given similar progress over the past year.
3) The dropout rate at the lower secondary level is 15.5%, and the dropout rate at the upper secondary level is 13.7%, but the progress is acceptable similar to last year.
The achievement presented in the report reflect the achievement of key achievement indicators and educational indicators supporting the implementation of the Pentagon-Phase strategy, which sets out specific actions to “Ensure that all Cambodians receive an environmentally and equitable education with knowledge, skills and lifelong learning”.
