The NGO Education Partnership (NEP) hosted its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 8 at The Factory Phnom Penh, bringing together over 100 members, partners, and key stakeholders under the theme “Building Impactful Partnership in the Education Sector.” This year’s AGM was more than a routine gathering—it marked a significant moment of reflection, renewal, and recommitment to the shared goal of inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all Cambodians.
One of the major highlights was the election of four new Board members, reaffirming NEP’s values of participatory governance and diverse leadership. The event also saw the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NEP and TDSO, launching the Greenspots Project—an initiative aimed at developing climate-resilient schools through infrastructure upgrades, teacher training, and community engagement.
The AGM also featured a presentation on NEP’s 2024 achievements and 2025 strategic goals, with a clear roadmap centered on partnership, knowledge sharing, and evidence generation. NEP aims to expand its network to 100 members, empower youth education champions, and scale its influence in national education policy.
Another key moment was the review and approval of NEP’s Charter of Operation, reflecting the coalition’s dedication to transparency and strong governance practices.
A standout segment of the day was the high-level panel discussion featuring representatives from the EU, ADB, Aide et Action, KAPE, and CCC. The discussion explored donor priorities, funding trends, and the role of civil society in ensuring that education investments reach the most marginalized. Panellists emphasized the importance of specialization, strategic collaboration, and adapting to new funding models—including engagement with the private sector.
From youth engagement and strategic planning to donor dialogue and governance reform, the 2025 AGM reinforced NEP’s position as a vital platform for collective action in Cambodian education. The day ended not just with resolutions but with renewed energy, clarity, and a shared vision for what lies ahead.
