NEP to Host Annual General Meeting: Strengthening Partnerships in Education

The NGO Education Partnership (NEP) is pleased to announce its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2025, which will take place on April 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Factory Phnom Penh, under the theme “Building Impactful Partnerships in the Education Sector.” This event is for members only and aims to bring together NEP’s diverse network of organizations to reflect on past successes, elect new leadership, and discuss key strategies for strengthening partnerships in Cambodia’s education sector.

As a leading coalition of over 70 education-focused NGOs, NEP plays a crucial role in fostering dialogue and collaboration among civil society, government agencies, and development partners. This year’s AGM will provide a platform for members to celebrate collective achievements, welcome new leadership, and explore partnership opportunities to enhance the quality and accessibility of education in Cambodia.

The meeting will begin with opening remarks, followed by a review of NEP’s 2024 achievements and a discussion on the organization’s strategic direction for the next five years. One of the key topics of discussion will be building impactful partnerships, including an introduction to the Greenspots Project, which focuses on promoting climate-resilient schools and sustainability in education.

Another major agenda item will be the Youth Education Champion Program, which celebrates the role of young people in transforming Cambodia’s education system. The AGM will also feature the election of new board members, providing members with the opportunity to vote for individuals who will shape NEP’s future advocacy efforts and guide the organization’s activities moving forward.

The meeting will conclude with a panel discussion on donor priorities, partnership opportunities, and funding strategies. This panel will include representatives from key development partners, providing valuable insights into how NGOs can align with donor goals to ensure sustainable funding and impact.

The AGM is a members-only event and promises to be an important opportunity for NEP members to engage in networking, knowledge-sharing, and decision-making that will shape the future of education in Cambodia. NEP encourages all its members to actively participate and contribute to the discussions, ensuring that their voices are heard in key decisions and initiatives.
