NEP is thrilled to welcome three incredible new member organizations to our community! Each of these organizations is making a profound impact in their respective areas, driving positive change and advancing development goals that resonate deeply with our shared mission. We are excited to join forces with these passionate changemakers and look forward to the collective impact we will achieve together!
1. Co-operation for Development of Cambodia (CoDeC)
CoDeC, a local non-governmental organization established in 2003, was formed through the integration of Akphivat Chun Krey Kror Organization (ACKK) and Khmer Smakchet Deumbei Akphivat Organization (KVOD). The organization upholds core values of democracy, honesty, solidarity, and equality. CoDeC is committed to empowering communities, particularly in Kampong Thom province, to take ownership and work together for the betterment of their lives. Through partnerships with national and sub-national governments, international institutions, private sectors, and civil society organizations, CoDeC builds trust and confidence to foster sustainable development and positive change.
2. Khmer Community Development Organization (KCD)
Founded in 2002 as a university student club and officially registered as a non-governmental organization in 2005, KCD has been dedicated to improving lives through sustainable agriculture, education, and peace promotion. Initially focused on supporting young people in the outskirts of Phnom Penh, KCD expanded its efforts to the commune of Prek Chrey in Kandal Province and Kampong Chhnang Province. KCD envisions a peaceful, multicultural society where the rights and needs of all people, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, or social status, are respected. The organization’s mission includes promoting inter-ethnic peace, children’s and women’s rights, and sustainable development, while building the capacity of individuals to empower themselves and contribute to society.
3. CIFA (International Center for Children and Family)
Founded in Italy in 1980, CIFA initially operated as an intercountry adoption agency before expanding into development work focused on supporting children and youth with education and social protection. CIFA’s work in Cambodia began in the early 2000s, initially through adoption services and later by promoting access to education for children from vulnerable communities, particularly in urban areas. CIFA aims to empower children and adolescents as active protagonists of change, fostering a more equitable and inclusive society. By focusing on education, health, protection, and environmental awareness, CIFA strives to improve the living conditions of children and adolescents in need and ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow in a family environment and achieve their potential.
We are thrilled to welcome CoDeC, KCD, and CIFA to our network and look forward to their contributions toward a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
