On 5 December 2024, NEP staff joined the global celebration of International Volunteer Day (IVD), a day dedicated to honoring the contributions of volunteers worldwide and inspiring more individuals to support peace and development efforts. In Cambodia, the event was celebrated under the theme “Together: Volunteer for Solidarity, Inclusive, and Sustainable Community,” reflecting the country’s commitment to sustainable development.
The theme emphasized the importance of joint efforts in building resilient and inclusive communities, aligning with Cambodia’s broader goals for development. The day served as a platform to recognize the vital role volunteers play in fostering solidarity and driving positive change, inspiring collective action toward a more sustainable future.
As a coalition organization in education, NEP values the contributions of volunteers in strengthening education systems and fostering inclusive learning opportunities. Their participation in the event underscores their commitment to advocating for community-driven efforts that ensure equitable and quality education for all, recognizing that volunteers are essential partners in achieving these goals.
