IIEP is introducing a new series of four Strategic Debates, focusing on evidence-informed policy and planning, covering every stage from design to implementation.
The first debate focuses on Using EiE data and evidence to inform crisis sensitive educational planning. This debate will explore strategies to enhance the capacity of ministries of education to utilize crisis-related data effectively. By incorporating data from ministries of environment, natural resources, and disaster management, we can improve our response and ensure more resilient education systems in the face of crises. Join us to discuss how to overcome these challenges and leverage data for more informed and effective educational planning in crisis contexts.
In the face of growing recognition among governments, humanitarians, and development partners, the need for evidence-informed risk reduction strategies in education has never been more urgent. Effective planning hinges on timely and reliable data to assess the impact of crises, including those driven by climate change, on education systems. However, the availability of such critical data is often lacking or inconsistent, hindering the planning and efficient delivery of educational services.
