The Fund for Local Cooperation (FLC) is managed by the Embassy of Finland in Bangkok and is mainly designated to aid local Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). However, it also extends support to science and technology communities, educational and research institutions, independent media, public corporations, cultural establishments (such as museums, libraries, and theaters), chambers of commerce, commercial associations, organizations focused on export and investment promotion, businesses, cooperatives, interest groups of companies and employees, as well as foundations and religious organizations.
In 2024, the Embassy has allocated approximately EUR 100,000 for the Fund for Local Cooperation (FLC) in Cambodia. This budget is intended to fund two projects, with each project eligible for a maximum of EUR 50,000, and a preferred duration of up to 1 year. Interested organizations that meet the criteria outlined on this page are encouraged to submit their proposals to the Embassy by June 9, 2024, via email at sanomat.ban@gov.fi (with the subject line “Fund for Local Cooperation in Cambodia”).
The anticipated outcomes of the projects include:
1. Promoting a rights-based approach to development in Cambodia.
2. Supporting the development of an active and impactful local civil society, including human rights defenders.
