New 2024 SDG 4 Scorecard

This second edition of the SDG 4 Scorecard, published in collaboration with the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS), demonstrates nations’ efforts to meet their 2025 and 2030 national standards. It was introduced during the UNESCO Conference on Education Data and Statistics, which brought together education statisticians from more than 125 nations to honor and celebrate their contributions to the benchmarking process. According to the report, progress toward benchmarks is good in terms of connecting primary schools to the internet and ensuring pre-primary school teachers have the minimum required qualifications, but severely lags in the other six categories.
