The education sector plays an important role in developing human resources and contributing to the country’s socioeconomic development. To ensure long-term human resource development, teachers must be fully competent in order to effectively implement the legal framework, policies, and principles aimed at achieving the Education Strategic Plan (ESP) and the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Rectangular Strategies.
The policy identifies strategies for developing teachers with quality, competence, accountability in line with the professional code of conduct and providing them with necessary enabling working environment for effective and efficient work and being recognized by the society
The policy requires all teachers to be knowledgeable, skilled, morally and professionally competent through pre- and in-service teacher training. The policy specifies important tactics that must be applied in order to achieve the set vision, goal, and objectives.
