Kampot Provincial Education Sector Working Group (PESWG) Held 4th Quarterly Meeting
The Kampot Provincial Education Sector Working Group (PESWG) held its 4th quarterly meeting on December 28, 2023, in Kampot, Cambodia. The meeting was attended by provincial education officials and local NGOs, and it discussed the challenges and opportunities facing education in Kampot province.
The PESWG was a group of government and non-government organizations that worked together to improve education in Kampot province. The group’s objectives included:
- Strengthening the collaboration between the Provincial Office of Education (POE), the Joint Technical Working Group (JTWG), and local NGOs operating in the education sector.
- Establishing a platform for open discussions and advocating on educational issues among members of the PESWG.
- Mainstreaming the efforts of POE and NGOs through the development of a written Annual Operational Plan (AOP).
- Facilitating effective cooperation between POE and NGOs to successfully implement AOP activities.
The 4th quarterly meeting focused on reviewing the findings and updates of the School Health Policy and Inclusive Education implementation, as well as discussing the Educational Advocacy Plan and sharing the Annual Action Plan for 2024 with the members.
The meeting was a success, and all participants agreed that it was a valuable opportunity to share information and ideas about how to improve education in Kampot province.
The next PESWG meeting was scheduled for March 2024.
