The UNESCO is bringing together specialists to explore the potential benefits and drawbacks of generative AI in education across Asia-Pacific.
UNESCO is hosting an expert roundtable to discuss the opportunities and risks of generative AI in education for the Asia-Pacific region. The roundtable will focus on the implications of generative AI for teacher training, professional development, and education systems. The goal of the roundtable is to inform and guide the transformation of education systems in the region by exploring responsible and ethical integration of generative AI in teaching and learning, enhancing the capacities of educators to utilize AI competencies, and fostering inclusive and equitable access to AI-driven education.
The workshop is being hosted in Bangkok, Thailand from November 7th to 9th 2023. It is also a live stream on the Facebook page of Unesco.
