NEP Team joins training on data collection for development of Inclusive Education Policy 2024-2028

The National Education Policy (NEP) has been invited to a two-day training on qualitative interviewers for data collection and ethics procedures for the Inclusive Education Policy 2024-2028. The training, which took place on August 8-9, 2023, was organized by the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport, as well as the Department of Special Education, and funded by UNICEF. The purpose of the training is to equip the NEP with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct qualitative interviews effectively and ethically in the context of inclusive education. This training is crucial for ensuring that data collection for the Inclusive Education Policy is conducted in a rigorous and ethical manner. During the training, participants will learn about the principles and techniques of qualitative interviewing, including how to formulate open-ended questions, establish rapport with interviewees, and analyze qualitative data. They will also receive guidance on ethical considerations in conducting interviews, such as obtaining informed consent, ensuring confidentiality, and protecting the rights and well-being of interviewees. By participating in this training, the NEP will be better equipped to collect high-quality data that can inform the development and implementation of the Inclusive Education Policy for the period of 2024-2028. This will contribute to creating an inclusive education system that provides equal learning opportunities for all children, including those who have traditionally been marginalized or excluded.
