GAPSED+ equity and inclusion framework and Youth Action Research in the South Pacific

GAPSED+ is an equity and inclusion framework that aims to promote inclusive education for all learners, regardless of their background or abilities. It is designed to help education stakeholders and national education coalitions in the South Pacific to develop policies and practices that promote equity and inclusion in education. The framework focuses on five key areas: governance, access, participation, quality, and learning outcomes. Youth Action Research (YAR) is a participatory research approach that involves young people in the research process. It aims to empower young people to identify and address issues that affect their lives, and to develop solutions that are relevant to their needs and experiences. YAR is a key component of the GAPSED+ framework, as it helps to ensure that the voices of young people are heard and that their perspectives are taken into account in the development of education policies and practices. The training of youth, education stakeholders, and national education coalitions in GAPSED+ and YAR in the South Pacific is an important step towards promoting equity and inclusion in education in the region. By empowering young people and involving them in the research process, the GAPSED+ framework and YAR can help to ensure that education policies and practices are relevant, effective, and inclusive for all learners in the South Pacific
