Let’s meet Sipar’s Mobile Library in the “Together to Promote Reading in our Community” campaign at the Kampong Speu Library from January 13th to 15th 2023! Created in 2000, the mobile libraries program now has 14 vehicles (9 minivans, 1 boat library, 3 tuk-tuk libraries and 1 motorcycle library) crisscrossing a hundred different sites on the roads of the seven provinces of Cambodia in order to bring the book to disadvantaged people. The lack of infrastructure, such as public libraries, deprives communities in the suburbs of neighboring cities and provinces to access books.
