To assess the status of SDG 4 implementation in Cambodia, NGOs Education Partnership (NEP) produced this SDG 4 spotlight report. The report developed by using a mix methodology – quantitative and Qualitative methods. The primary data collected from key informant interviews with government officials and NGOs staff including field observation at school level. The secondary data collected and analyzed from government official documents, implementing partners’ reports, and research findings.
Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, set among other SDGs in 2015 by the participants the Sustainable Development Summit. The implementation and achievement of targets of all SDGs have been lagging by 2019, but the COVID-19 outbreak impacted the momentum even more and burdened the government, slowing down and sometimes reversing the progress of SDGs.
