M’lop Tapang Publishes Online Safety Survey Results

M’lop Tapang Online Safety Team has been collecting data from a survey that will help us learn from children and youth about the risks and dangers they face online. We have finalized our analysis and would like to share the report with you! We have compiled data from 212 surveys, children and youth ranging from 12-18 years old.
A few interesting discoveries from the survey:
**Over half reported that they had a stranger contact to them asking for personal information
**60% of the respondents reported they have had exposure to pornography at some point and 30% of those were exposed to pornography by a stranger interaction.
**Facebook/Facebook Messenger, TikTok and Telegram are among the top apps reported for witnessing abuse material.
