The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS), in collaboration with NGO Education Partnership (NEP), and the Working Group on Inclusive Education and Disabilities (WGED) with its NGO members is organizing the 10th National Forum on Inclusive Education focusing on “Together, prioritizing Inclusive Education for Children with Disabilities after Covid- 19 at all Levels”.
This National Forum on Inclusive Education will be held on September 9, 2022 from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM at Tonle Bassac 2 Restaurant in Phnom Penh.
After 2 years of Covid-19 pandemic resulting in school closures nationwide and distance learning (Cambodia Education Response Plan to Covid-19 Pandemic as of 2020), students’ access to education and their learning have been negatively impacted. In this context, what are the specific challenges faced by students with disabilities?
The 10th National Forum on Inclusive Education will be an opportunity for all stakeholders working on inclusive education for children with disabilities in Cambodia to cooperate with the MoEYS to identify the main challenges during Covid-19 period, and relevant solutions following the school Please contact CHOUR Darong at direction@krousar-thmey.org, in order to effectively support students with disabilities to continue their learning and succeed on different levels.
Development partners, different departments under the MoEYS, Provincial Offices of Education, Youth and Sports, and other relevant ministries will attend the Forum to discuss the aforementioned issues.
This Forum aims at sharing experiences of challenges, best practices, solutions, and encouraging more investment and fundraising towards addressing the learning loss of students with disabilities post Covid-19.
