The 2018 World Assembly held in Kathmandu-Nepal, adopted the GCE’s 2019-2022 strategic plan (see document below). The Education Agenda 2030 (E2030)/SDG4 is at the heart of this strategy. As a global education movement, GCE work has been pivotal to accelerating progress toward achieving the SDG4, centred around promoting inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Ahead of the 2022 GCE World Assembly (Official communique to be shared soon), the GCE Secretariat is coordinating processes to prepare the impact report for the 2019-2022 strategic plan and develop a new strategic plan for the 2023-2026 period. These two processes are happening simultaneously and build on previous consultative processes held for the mid-term review and context scanning conducted in 2020 and 2021, respectively (see documents below)
The GCE Secretariat will set up a strategy reference with representatives of all its constituencies. However, we would like to engage ALL members in the process to make sure the global impact report and the new strategy meet the needs of the movement. More information about how and when members can engage and input into the Impact Report and new GCE global strategy is provided in the image.
The draft strategy will be brought to the 2022 World Assembly for adoption after the GCE Board agreement. GCE looks forward to developing a stronger strategy that is informed by the diverse voices of its members.
Thank you in advance for participating and mobilising your constituencies to engage in these critical processes for GCE. Your voice counts!
