The objectives of the ICT Skills and Capacity Building include:
1. To introduce Microsoft 365 apps to the project’s beneficiaries,
2. To provide an overview of the core features of Microsoft 365 and how they can
simplify workday and make teams more productive,
3. To ensure that accessibility of Microsoft Teams to documents and communication,
mobility, and team collaboration is understood by the beneficiaries.
With these objectives achieved, the project aimed to see an increase in adaptation and
use of Microsoft 365 among the partner organizations to increase collaboration and
productivities as well as to increase accessibility to the policy analysis toolkit.
Specifically the training offers guided instruction to improve following skills:
Microsoft 365 application in each category
1. Microsoft 365
By the end of this chapter, the trainees should be able to:
– explain the functionality and benefits of Microsoft 365
– activate and log in their Microsoft 365 accounts
– connect their Microsoft 365 accounts with applications on their computers
– connect Microsoft 365 accounts with applications on their mobile phones
– launch any Microsoft 365 application
2. Microsoft Teams
By the end of this chapter the trainees should be able to:
– describe the functionality of Microsoft Teams
– create and manage teams on Microsoft Teams
– create new posts and communicate with team members in a channel
– upload and find documents in Teams
– start a chat with someone in Teams
– make a video or voice call with someone
– create, join, and manage a meeting
– use Teams on smartphones
3. Microsoft Outlook
By the end of this chapter, the trainees should be able to:
– describe the functionality of Microsoft Outlook
– create and send emails from Microsoft Outlook
– use calendar in Outlook
– create and manage tasks in Outlook
– use Outlook on smartphones
4. Microsoft OneDrive
By the end of this chapter, the trainees should be able to:
– describe the primary features of Microsoft OneDrive
– create and store files and folders in OneDrive
– share files and folders from OneDrive to other people in and outside of their
organization
– view own and someone else’s documents within OneDrive
– use OneDrive on smartphones
